Apple Computer has officially announced that the iPhone will be available in the US from 29th of June 2007. This combination of cell phone, media player, and wireless Web surfing device will cost around $500 to $600, depending on the amount of memory included. The iPhone which doesn’t have a keyboard, features a 3.5-inch touch screen display, 2-megapixel camera, headset and audio jacks, and an iPod dock.And data transmission would be supported by Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and EDGE.
The first iPhone model would be quad-band GSM, meaning it would work in almost every major country in the world.But it’s been announced to be available in Europe by the end of 2007 and in Asia-Pacific by 2008.-SeeJay

Utter BS. My Motorola A925 had almost all these features 3 years ago – wide touchscreen, mp3, video, camera, video calling, downloadable voice mail and GPS navigation. I only paid 100 dollars for it.
Only idiots would buy the iPhone. I would go for Sharp 904sh or Jasjam any day. The japs and the south koreans must be laughing their arses at all this hype over nothing in the west.
