Hi!
Remember some guys blamed me that there’s no use in opening Firefox inside Firefox? 👿 . Ok! Here is an useful one. 😀
You know what happens when you type a “word” in the Firefox address bar right? yes it gives a Google search on that “word”. As an example if we type “wordpress” in the address bar and press Enter key then Firefox will Google for “wordpress”.
But what if you want to go to wordpress.com or wordpress.org ?. Ok here is the trick!
First open a new tab in Firefox by pressing Ctrl+T type “ANYTHING” in the address bar and press Ctrl+Enter It will automatically add http:// and .com and go to http://www.ANYTHING.com
If you press Shift+Enter It will go to http://www.ANYTHING.net and pressing Ctrl+Shift+Enter will automatically add http:// and .org and will go to http://www.ANYTHING.org
How cool is that?… 😕 well, not that cool. But I’m sure its useful

The firefox Inside firefox was cool and this is hot… 🙂
Yeah, Firefox hotkeys. This is not a new feature. But yeah, useful sometimes….
Firefox inside Firefox : cool title, cool trick, no usability, and old trick 😀
There’s an even simpler way to do that.
Say go to “Google” and save it to your bookmarks, naming it “Google”
Then just type “Google” into your address bar and Google will come up. Works with any website.
My way is more like david’s. “wordpress.com” is already in my web address box so i just had to do a few key strokes (down) to choose from the url list shown in the pull down menu.
What about “.de”?
It would be more useful to me, ’cause I am German…
thanks for the comments guys(and gals)
I’m sorry Maraya I don’t know how to auto complete .de I’ll try my best to find if there’s anything 🙂
