Have you seen Bill’s Apple G5? Even Microsoft Bought G5’s

A worker has taken this photo (in 2003) on the way to MSCopy, the print shop he worked, which was in the same building as MS’s shipping and receiving). Three palettes of Dual 2.0Ghz G5’s on their way in to somewhere deep in the bowels of Redmond. The guy was Fired by Microsoft for taking this photo.-SeeJay

  1. Yes I remember this story. Quite pathetic. The G5 were probably used for the early prototypes of the Xbox 360 which did a 360 turn from using intel based processors to Power PC processors.

    May be at the time this fact was a secret and M$ was pissed off that Sony would be able to guess it, since the PS3 was already announced and based on the PPC. I could be wrong though.
